This NURBS (non-uniform rational b-spline model is the first character I ever modeled, and built a full IK-rig for from scratch. It had hip controllers to create realistic weight redistribution as the character moved, as well as mathematical expressions to control motion such as foot roll, and to make sure the character's foot never passed through the ground plane. The video is the size of a postage stamp as my early stuff was originally rendered on an SGI IRIX system I no longer have access to and at the time, this video was about the ma you could push out to the web. But you gotta start somewhere, right? Anyhow, you get the general idea. In everything I do, I try to maintain the enthusiasm and "beginner's mind" that I had when I was making this for fun.
