This is my first complete render using Modo. This was rendered with HDRI lighting. I'm quite impressed with Modo, actually. The learning curve on it is pretty easy, and the app is highly flexible. (Update: It also used to be affordable and a way for new artists to easily enter the skillset. This is increasingly no longer the case.)
